Mining Museum Park

The Amiata, between the end of the 1800s and the mid-1970s, experienced a very important period of mining exploitation that led it to be the 2nd center in the world for the extraction of cinnabar, the mineral from which  mercury is extracted through a process of sublimation.

Today mines have been closed, but you can relive that social and cultural period inside the museum of the Abbadia San Salvatore Mining.

It is a visit of great interest that leads us to discover also one of the galleries where we will make a tour with the little train.
