The day is dedicated to one of the most fascinating and mysterious villages in central Italy: Civita di Bagnoregio, also known throughout the world as the "Dying City."

Towards Orvieto and Civita di Bagno Regio

We set off in the direction of Piancastagnaio and then descend along the ancient Via Francigena, today Via Cassia. The road passes through green hills and soft landscapes, accompanying the journey towards San Casciano of the Baths, a town famous for its spa and the extraordinary Etruscan finds discovered in recent years.

A few kilometers further on you enter first Lazio and then Umbria, reaching Orvieto, one of the most spectacular cities in central Italy. Perched on the tuff cliffOrvieto offers extraordinary views and a charming historic center. For those wishing to add a truly artistic touch, a visit to the Duomo is highly recommended.

We then continue towards Civita di BagnoregioAfter leaving your motorcycles before the access bridge, you can enter the village on foot, following the only path connecting Civita to the rest of the area. Its charm is unique: suspended in the void, fragile and spectacular, Civita retains a rare, almost unreal atmosphere, which in recent years has made it one of the most beloved destinations in central Italy.

Lake Bolsena and Upper Tuscia

After the visit we return towards the volcanic lake of Bolsena, another highlight of the day. The first stop could be in the elegant village of Bolsena, overlooking the lake, before continuing on to Marta, a town also known for its excellent trattorias serving lake and sea fish dishes.

The return journey takes place once again crossing the villages and landscapes of theUpper Tuscia until reaching Montefiascone first and San Quirico di Sorano afterwards, from where the road leads back towards Piancastagnaio and then to the hotel.

It's a rich, varied, and scenic itinerary that combines nature, history, and some of the most surprising places in Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio.

Upon returning, a nice dinner will be the best way to end the day before a well-deserved rest.
