Sport and Outdoor On Monte Amiata

Mount Amiata is a mountain of violent contrasts. The wind, rain, snow, fog, but also the sun, are the familiar guests. Tthe charm of the storm or of greyness in which a local lightened strikes a rock with precision, the modest houses of the Amiatine slopes, a corner of maquis, in front of which in normal conditions, I would have passed a hundred times without stopping, transforming them and sublimating them for a few seconds. These contrasts of light seemed to me, even beyond any aesthetic consideration, the most faithful to reproduce the noble and fascinating history of a corner of the Amiata.

Starting from the top: a beautiful down hill plant is located, and during the winter you can do all sports related to snow (skiing, snow board, snowshoes). Then, we go down along the innumerable paths that first cross the beech forest and then enter the chestnuts before looking out on the small medieval villages. Trekking, mountain biking, enduro… Spectacular!

Two Orienteering maps drawn one in the upper part and the other close to the countries allow the development of this sport.

The innumerable sport facilities, soccer fields, gyms, tennis courts and the brand new and futuristic sports arena of Santa Fiora.

In addition, the beautiful roads for motorcycle tours and quad excursions.
