The Children's Mountain
Monte Amiata is the ideal ski resort for children.
Here at Prato delle Macinaie we have the Jolly school field, a “textbook” place to start skiing, where you take your first steps.
We then pass through the longer Asso di Fiori training field, where we refine our technique.
Then the chairlift to go to the top from where all the longer slopes start.
A fantastic place for parents
Parents can sit on the deckchairs and sunbathe while watching their kids ski.
To organize weekly winter stays or simple weekends it is an ideal place. Not only snow, but also gastronomy, nature and culture because a short distance away we find a fantastic world, rich in art and history. There will be important moments to taste typical products and recipes of the territory.

Programmed snowmaking system
For skiing on Monte Amiata, a programmed snowmaking system has been created, which has recently been further improved.
With the right conditions, 3 days are enough to set up training camps at Prato delle Macinaie and the Pista Direttissima.
