PEFC Italy is a non-profit association that represents the national governing body of the system of PEFC certification (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes), the Forest Certification Scheme Evaluation Programme.
It is an international initiative based on broad collaboration between all stakeholders involved in sustainable forest management, at national and regional levels.
In particular, representatives of forest owners and poplar groves, end consumers, users, freelancers, the wood industry and crafts participate in the development of the PEFC system.
The main objective is to promote responsible management of the woodland heritage.
At the same time, PEFC aims to enhance the entire forest-wood supply chain, offering a concrete tool that allows the marketing of wood and forest products sourced exclusively from sustainably managed forests.
Consequently, the certification becomes a guarantee of environmental quality, protection of the territory, and respect for natural resources.
A virtuous model that unites the environment, economy, and the future.
