Our History

After 40 years of management the first generation left the company in the hands of the sons, who from the 1999 lead it independently. We find therefore Claudia with the cousins Giorgio and Enrico besides of course the irreplaceble Franz.

The proposal has deeply changed over time to adapt to new tastes and new types of consumption.

It is often recalled the style of the meal in the 70-80’s when it was used to propose the famous set menu with three first courses and the mythical mixed roast. The wine was severely served in a carafe.

We have tried to make our proposal grow over time. Dishes made up with more and more care and precision matched with a special selection of wines.

We boasts the infinite number of recognition certificates issued by our guests.

Flagship is obviously the participation to the Oscar of Italian Cuisine in 1987, where we came in second place with Ravioli with cheese and pepper, prepared by the uncle Romano, combined with a Frescobaldi Villa di Corte Rosè.

Numerous participations to Amiata a Tavola, an event organized by the Gourmet Gianni Bonacina, in the ’80s.

In 2002, Le Macinaie restaurant celebrated the wedding number 1000!
