Your gaze will also be able to stretch all the way to the Umbrian mountains, offering a truly extraordinary perspective on the region. 🌅

🍂 Day 1 – Friday, October 23

Welcome to the summit and tour presentation

🏨 Arrival and welcome

We look forward to seeing you this afternoon for check-in at Hotel Le Macinaie, nestled in the heart of the Monte Amiata beech forests, which are tinged with extraordinary colors in autumn.

🥂 Meeting with the guide and welcome aperitif

Afterwards, in front of the warm fireplace and accompanied by a rich welcome aperitif, you will have the opportunity to meet the other participants and meet Paolo Burrini, environmental hiking guide for Le Vie Narranti.

During the evening, Paolo will illustrate the program of the Trekking on Monte Amiata in autumn, recounting the history, geology, and curiosities that make this ancient Tuscan volcano unique.

🌳 Day 2 – Saturday, October 24th

The colors of the beech forest

After a hearty buffet breakfast, you'll drive to a location on the northern slopes of Mount Amiata. From here, your guided hike along one of the mountain's most captivating routes will begin.

🥾 Accompanied by Paolo Burrini you will walk along the famous path of Sasso de' Merchi, characterised by rocky outcrops of volcanic origin and numerous historical testimonies engraved in the stone.

🍁 Afternoon among chestnut trees, beech trees and springs

The route will continue through chestnut woods and magnificent beech forests, crossing places rich in charm and beauty.

Along the way, you'll encounter shelters nestled in the woods, crystal-clear springs, and spectacular fern-covered rock formations. Stops along the way will also allow you to observe the colors and atmosphere of autumn foliage up close.

In the afternoon, you'll walk back directly to Hotel Le Macinaie, located in Prato delle Macinaie, where you can relax before dinner.

⛰️ Day 3 – Sunday, October 25th

The Summit of Mount Amiata

🌄 Towards the top

After breakfast, you'll leave your bags at reception and set off directly from the hotel for the hike to the summit of Mount Amiata.

The route alternates between the magic of the beech forest and the wide-open spaces of the ski slopes on the northeastern side. Consequently, the landscape will constantly change, offering ever-new and surprising views.

✨ Arriving at the top

Once you reach the large monumental cross that dominates the summit of Mount Amiata, Paolo will accompany you in reading the surrounding landscape.

On clear days, it will be possible to admire southern Tuscany, Lazio, and Umbria, as well as numerous mountains and valleys that extend to the horizon.

🌳 The return through the beech forest

Next, the descent along the Scalettaia path will begin, a slightly more technical stretch that will require greater attention.

The route then continues along the tranquil Fosso di Rigale trail, considered by many to be one of the most evocative and unspoiled corners of Mount Amiata. Here, the beech forest reaches its peak, offering unique atmospheres in every season.

Finally, you'll return to the cars you left the previous day. Before leaving, you'll return to Hotel Le Macinaie to collect your luggage and spend a final moment with Paolo Burrini and the staff.

Four-legged friends are welcome on weekends and can join their owners on excursions.

There is a supplement of € 25,00 for the animal's stay in the room.
