In the splendid setting of the medieval historical centre of Seggiano is the Diffused Oil Museum, experiential path that among ancient stones and suggestive scenarios accompanies visitors to the discovery of historical-architectural emergencies of our territory. The itinerary unites different areas of interest and different historical periods and as a common thread follows the Olivastra Seggianese. This native olive cultivar which has characterised the surrounding landscape for centuries, represents an essential resource for the area. From pressing, an oil with renowned and appreciated organoleptic properties is obtained, enhanced with guided tastings at the Filiera Corta Sales Point. Going up and crossing the Via degli Orti, the imposing Cisternone which houses a specimen of Olivastra Seggianese.
