From the North:
Exit the motorway at Firenze Certosa and take the Firenze-Siena highway towards Siena. After passing the city of the Palio, continue towards Grosseto until reaching Paganico, which is reached after about 50 km from Siena.
From here, take the signs for “Vetta Monte Amiata”, Castel del Piano. At Castel del Piano, follow the signs for Vetta Monte Amiata, Prato delle Macinaie, and after 9 km you have arrived.
From the South:

Autosole to Orvieto, from here follow signs for Castel San Giorgio and then Acquapendente. Then take the Cassia towards Siena until Km 147, where at the height of the town of Ponte a Rigo turn left towards Piancastagnaio. Once past the town, follow the signs on the left for Vetta Monte Amiata, Prato delle Macinaie.
From Rome, take the Strada statale 2 Cassia to km 147 and then continue as above.
Aurelia state road up to Montalto di Castro, then Canino, Acquapendente and then enter the Cassia and continue as above.
From the East:
From Arezzo take the A1 to the Val Di Chiana exit and then continue towards Pienza, then Abbadia San Salvatore. Before entering the town follow the signs for Vetta Monte Amiata, after about 7 km turn right for Prato delle Macinaie.
