Here's how the day might unfold:

10.00 am arrival on Monte Amiata with a visit of your choice from those indicated below
13.00 pm arrival at the Le Macinaie restaurant and lunch,
15.00 pm walk in the beech forest or visit to the summit of Monte Amiata.

Chestnut harvest

In private area €3-5 per km depending on the season (15 km from the restaurant);
In an area open to the public (12 km from the restaurant);

Cultural

Visit to the Mining Museum Park of Abbadia San Salvatore (SI) entrance with guide (one of the old miners) €5, to the Abbey and the historic village (8 km from the Restaurant);
Visit to the historic village of Santa Fiora, Peschiera Park and the sources of the Fiora River (12 km from the restaurant).
Visit to the Tibetan Center of Merigar;
Visit to a historic village, churches or castles (Santa Fiora, the Robian ceramics and the Peschiera, Arcidosso and the Aldobrandesco castle, Piancastagnaio and its village, Seggiano and the Daniel Spoerri Garden);
