Happy New Year from Monte Amiata

The cold has finally arrived. The artificial snowmaking system is now operational at Prato delle Macinaie.

We're at -1.5°C. Cloudy skies with light winds. Visibility is good.

ISA operators are working to open, as soon as possible, at least the Macinaie training camp circuit and the new track (built in November to the right of the Macinaie conveyor belt) for bobsleighs and sleds.

In the meantime, the school field served by the long conveyor belt and the bobsleigh track served by the short conveyor belt at the bottom of the track remain open at Vetta Amiata.

Also open at Prato della Contessa: The Contessaland Amusement Park.

Clean roads (remember that it is mandatory to have snow chains on board or snow tires fitted).
