A MOUNTAIN OF FUN
Mount Amiata is a mountain of violent contrasts where the wind, the rain, the snow, the fog but also the sun are familiar guests, the charm of the storm or of greyness where a local clearing hits a rock with precision, the modest houses of the Amiatine slopes, a corner of scrub, in front of which in normal conditions, I would have passed a hundred times without stopping, transforming and sublimating them for a few seconds. These contrasts of light seemed to me even beyond any aesthetic consideration the most faithful way to reproduce the noble and fascinating history of a corner of Amiata.
Here, everything is possible.
Starting from the top where there is a beautiful system of Down Hill, and where during the winter you can do all the sports related to INFO (skis, snowboards, snowshoes), we descend along the countless paths that first cross the Beech forest to then enter the chestnut groves before looking out onto the small Medieval villages. Hiking, mountain bike, enduro, a spectacle.
Two maps of orienteering traced one on the other side and the other close to the villages allow the practice of this sport.
The countless sports facilities, football fields, gyms, tennis courts and the brand new and futuristic sports hall of Santa Fiora.
And then the beautiful roads for the motorcycle tours, quad excursions.
Let's not forget the horse riding, the presence of two highly renowned centres, allows these activities to be carried out at a very high level for both experts and children.
